If you have looking to do some community serviche and have been unable to make the Urban Grace breakfast, we have another opprotunity to serve our community on Saturday May 5th.. see details from the email from David Holzmeyer I have included below. It would be great if we could get at least 5 boys to go out and help with this conservation project. I will be taking names of volunteers NEXT Monday, if you are sure you can go you can register at the website below so that they know you will be there. We will determine how we are going to deal with transportation after we have an idea of the boys that are going. Dave Nease Assistant Scoutmaster-Troop 219 As an Eagle Scout myself, I know that a key component to Scouting is helping your local community. I've found when I volunteer I receive more than I give, and I always feel better about myself. Here's an opportunity for you to help your community and learn about nature at the same time. On Saturday May 5th, the organization Forterra (www.forterra.org) is having a work party at the Schibig-Lakeview Nature Preserve in Spanaway. It is from 10:00- 1:00 rain or shine. Tools and refreshments will be provided, but wear old clothes and bring work gloves if you have them. Please click on this link to register for this event and learn more.http://www.forterra.org/events/5_5_12_volunteer_at_schbig_lakeview_nature_preserve_in_spanaway Thanks, David Holzmeyer (206) 697-7675 ELL Teacher at Washington High School and Keithley Middle School and an Eagle Scout We have another opprotunity to serve our community by helping serve breakfast at Urban Grace this next Sunday, April 29th. If you would like to join us next Sunday, talk to Dave Nease at Monday's meeting so we can make sure we have enough seats to get from Emmanuel to Urban Grace and back. Those who are attending, PLEASE make sure you return a filled out permission Slip to myself or Jena Marks this Monday, April 23rd. We leave Emmanuel at about 6:45 am and will be back around 9:45 am Thanks for serving your community!
Here is the final list for the Lasagna dinner items, please check it over to remember what you are bringing! Also, there has been a change of plan regarding pick up of the lasagnas for baking. Set up at the church will be at 12:00 noon NOT 9 am. Please pick up the lasagnas between 12-1 pm on Saturday. Any of the other items can be delivered at that time as well.
I am busy with work related travel today, if there is an urgent need call me on my cell 206 650-7677, otherwise, we will see you Saturday at noon or at 5:45-6pm Saturday night with cooked lasagnas ready to have fun! Thank you! Fletcher The highlight of the dinner is of course the DUTCH OVEN DESERT!!!
This detail may not have received the attention it needs. each Scout is expected to bring either a cake mix or a can of fruit filling. So Daniel and Keagan's Patrol has been asked for a cake mix and Alex and Jared's have been asked for a can of fruit filling. As an example last year we made such outstanding combinations as Chocolate Cherry, Coffee Cake and Apples, Yellow Cake and Blue Berries, and yes I did tell Chris I would use Funfettie <sp> Please have the Scouts bring the bring these when they come to the church on Saturday. One other small thing we need to borrow all the dutch ovens we can, Thank You Any one that wants to lend a hand, I will be in the church from about 13:30 until completion, Lance Kanski will be manning the charcoal outside. Thank You!!! Matthew Cameron 253-691-7601 If you either signed up to provide entertainment for the Lasagna dinner or you are a parent of such a person this message is for you...
We kinda/sorta audition - mostly make sure that you are ready to play your best and most-appropriate music for the dinner. Please bring your instrument and music tomorrow to scouts at 6:30. You will play for me and we'll make sure you're going to be ready for Saturday. I will need to leave the church at 7, so if you're not here before I leave then you'll have to wait until next year to participate. Please respond so I know you're still interested and also what you plan on playing. Thanks a bunch! Kerstin Shaffer [email protected] 360.491.2052 First of all, one week from today we will be resting on our laurels and counting money....I hope. We are almost at DInner Day and my butterflies are fluttering...
I will need dinner money tomorrow...4/16. Please use the envelope I sent to return dinner money. I need to keep track of dinner/raffle money seperately. If you sold all your raffles, I will take that too...but please feel free to use next week to sell anymore you may have. Set up for Saturday: any grown up who would like to help set up raffle items can come to the church at noon on Saturday. Bring any items you have to raffle and we will work together to set it all up. I could use baskets, display cards, creative thinking to get this up. boys in DANIEL and ALECs patrols will be our set up boys from noon to 2pm on Saturday. If you are involved in the parade, let your patrol leader know to swap out. boys in KEEGAN and JARED's patrols need to be at the church at 300 Saturday to help with the dutch oven deserts. ALL boys need to be at the church by 5:45 on Saturday in full, clean uniform. Each patrol will be assigned a duty for the night and all boys will be cleaning up at the end of the evening. If you have been asked to supply a gift card to raffle, I would love to have those tomorrow night so I can display them. If you have little items to raffle at our $1.00 dollar table, we could use those as well...little sibblings love this... Questions? I have tons myself. Keep calm and carry on, right?
