INFORMATION ABOUT CAMP:
Packing for camp
Each scout will need to pack a small day bag to carry with them in the cars going down. In that bag you will need:
Day Bag
- Scout shirt
- OA Sash (if you have one)
- Bathing suit and towel
- Lunch/snack on the road - no soda, no energy drinks, no messy snacks like potato chips. Please remember you are a guest in someone else's car and keeping it clean is paramount
Money
The fuel costs for this outing has not yet be determined.
Please remember that each boy likes to spend money while at camp, The average scout spends about $30 to $60 dollars during the week. Also there is the merit badge costs associated with some of the badge selections chosen.
Then if the scout wants to shoot a rifle, or shot gun during his free time, you will need to consider money for the ammo.
After you decide how much you plan on sending with your scout, it is best if you place cash in 4 separate plastic zip lock bags, ($5.00 or $1.00 bills only!!),
- Bag 1 Merit badge money - Dropped off on Saturday
- Bag 2 Summer camp Spending money - Dropped off on Saturday
- Bag 3 Food money for the drive home - Dropped off on Saturday
With a sharpie put his name on the bags and total dollar amount in each bag. The leaders will be locking the rest up for them while at camp, dispensing it as they need/request it.
