Cape Alava Hike

When: Friday-Monday, Feb 17-20, 2012
Where: Cape Alava & Sand Point, WA
Assemble at: Church 2/17 @ 5:30pm
Return: Church 2/20 around 5:00pm
Cost: $30


Leave from the church at 5:30 pm. Take a sack dinner to eat on the drive to Lake Ozette.  Camp Friday night at Lake Ozette Campground.  Up for an early breakfast.  Half of the troop will hike to Sand Point, half of the troop will hike to Cape Alava.  Plenty of hanging out on the beach, climbing the big rock, etc Saturday.  Late low tide on Sunday, so a leisurly morning and hike to Wedding Rocks to check out the Petroglyphs.  The two groups will meet at Wedding Rocks, and then each group will continue to the other campsite.  Back to the vehicles around noon on Monday for the trip back to Tacoma.  All meals except Friday dinner will be by patrol.  We will stop in Port Angeles for a quick lunch around 2pm on the ride home.
